If you cannot access the settings menu of your Samsung Galaxy S20, you can perform the Samsung Galaxy S20 formatting process using the recovery mode. Recovery mode is usually used when you cannot access device contents, forgot lock code or pattern lock, your device stays on boot logo or reboots by itself.

You can do Samsung Galaxy S20 hard reset process with recovery mode by following the below steps.

Make sure the charge percentage is at least 50%.

If your device is on, turn it off and wait a few seconds.

While the device is off, press the Volume Up + Home keys at the same time, then press the Power key and do not stop pressing the keys until the device logo appears.

Release the Power button when the Samsung logo appears and wait for a while.

Release all keys when the Recovery Mode screen appears.
